Hotel for the art and wine lover.

Wonderful stay! Beautiful and interesting hotel for the art lover. Lovely dinner with great wine suggestions. The walking wine tour they organised in the little town was perfect. Great surroundings for walks and drives.

Spectacular hotel, very well designed with amazing rooftop seating area with views.

The hotel is designed with so much good taste. The modern design of all areas is spectacular. The rooftop views are wonderful and the staff were very helpful and polite. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed.

No offerings for a snack lunch or snack dinner, but this seems to be common amongst hotels in this area.

History in a modern hotel

Great hotel in the middle of a beautiful town. Surrounded of wineries and mountains. A lot of history in this area. Nice stuff, nice experiences and a great hotel.

Stylish hotel with lovely staff and restaurant perfect for a couples break

Very stylish hotel with great amenities. The town/village is small but charming and the church and hotel are the main buildings. The restaurant food was great and reasonably priced. It would be a drive to get to another restaurant so that his was useful. We were upgraded to a suite which had an amazing terrace would recommend!

Style, artwork, restaurant (dinner) and breakfast. Welcome wine. Staff very friendly.

Room had a fault with the lighting system. Opaque toilet door.

Very Good

The staff was wonderful. The property is very pretty, clean and well-located. Breakfast was lovely - I have a gluten intolerance, and they really took care to make sure I had gluten-free bread and pastries.

The furnishings are not the highest quality, but that is reflective of the price, which is a lot lower than other nice hotels in the area. My main problem, however, was that we requested 2 twin (single) beds, and we did get them but they were stuck together so it was the same as having one double bed with two separate sets of bedding (so each person does have their own duvet comforter). It doesn't make any sense. Two twin (single) beds should be pushed apart to actually be two separate beds.

Perfect spot for exploring the rioja region

This is a beautiful place to stay in the rioja area. The room was spacious and had everything we needed including a lovely terrace. The hotel breakfast was wonderful and the restaurant for dinner was delicious (it’s really the only place for dinner in town so keep this in mind when you book). I loved the gym which had a great rooftop view of the local town. The staff were wonderful and very helpful with everything including organizing a walking tour of some of the local wineries. I’d definitely stay here again!

Our lights didn’t work initially but it was rectified very quickly by the front desk staff despite it being quite late at night. This made the safe not work when we checked out but again they were very responsive to getting it fixed so I really cannot fault them!

A wonderful hotel where we plan to return soon

A really modern building incorporating the history of the area. From the moment we walked through the door we felt welcomed We had an amazing room on the ground floor which was spacious and and luxurious. We had a really large balcony with really comfortable chairs Breakfast was amazing with a great variety to choose from The freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious We ate in the dining room one night and this was beautifully cooked and perfectly accompanied by a local wine suggested by our waiter. The staff were all charming and helpful We used this as a site to cycle from and there are plenty of fairly challenging rides near by with really lovely villages to visit

Nothing really The shower could do with a little shelf in it but I think our room was newly done and I suspect this is in hand On all it was pretty perfect

Enjoyable but needs more staff and investment.

Its design, friendliness, food, helpful staff.

Access tricky, outside front terrace decking warped and dangerous for oldies like us. No pool. Roof terrace lovely but lacked shade . Few facilities in village. Room a bit shabby ( door to fridge chipped and poorly fitting, table also chipped and floor around coloured Despite these comments, we did enjoy the hotelshower screen quite grubby. No grab handle in shower.and we had problems with lights. Staff most helpful but prob not resolved for 3 days . Everyone who worked there gave their best but were really stretched when hotel was full. More staff would have helped. Ants on wooden serving table in restaurant at breakfast - they live in the cracks and the single coffee machine queue was a joke. People waited for 5 or 6 minutes at a time. Just get another one!

Interesting design hotel

Design hotel with interesting facilities… something out of the norm; free electric charger for your car

Vilkage is “very quiet”, nithing to do there (the only restaurant despite the hotel was closed)

Liked the architecture and artwork . Staff were great and organised us a fabulous wine tour . Had two lovely meals in the restaurant, especially liked the lavender ice cream. Yum Yum Highly recommend .

Sophisticated & Understated Viura!

Lovely Breakfast. Lovely spacious modern minimalist room. Comfortable big bed. Fabulous roof terrace views and seating, and also in front of the hotel. Lovely restaurant at lower level with great food. Welcome drinks were a nice touch, So wonderful to be able to walk to local wine producer's bodegas from the hotel on the local winery tour, and amazing to be able to walk among the vineyards themselves in a short stroll out of the village. Bliss!

Some tiny observations like not having a separate door to the en suite bathroom was a little unusual and might be a little disconcerting for new couples perhaps?! The lighting in the dining room was at 'lighthouse' levels we thought first night...and then similarly - it was the first remark my brother and his wife made the second night when they joined us for dinner?! Also, disappointed that the wine shop was not opened Sunday-Thursday when we were there?! An 'honesty' bar on the roof would be a huge addition we thought, to save coming all the way downstairs to refill...and also the rooftop gym seems a poor use of space somehow? How about a tiny bar area/ fridge and two bathrooms instead so that more use can be made of the rooftop by a greater number of guests, which is very poorly advertised internally.

Beautiful buildings, spacious and stunning rooms, disappinting dining.

I love the building, the rooms and the technology. The staff are very friendly and the building id truly beautiful with large rooms and spaces.

The only disappointment is the evening meal though breakfast was very good. The dining room has some great touches with barrels suspended from the ceiling but the menu is very limited and quite poor. Given the lack of alternatives in the village, this is a major issue in terms of staying there if you do not want to drive.
